Myrothecium Root, Crown, and Stem Rot in Pansy (pdf)
The fungus Myrothecium roridum is often considered to be a weak, opportunistic pathogen that invades plant tissue that has been injured or stressed . Myrothecium has caused problems in foliage and some other ornamentals in the past but recently, some growers have noted serious production losses in pansy production.
